SKILL ENHANCEMENT IN SALES TECHNIQUES AND STRATEGIC DECISION-MAKING
The Career Guidance & Placement Cell and Insight-X (The Case Study Club) hosted two
Impactful sessions for SMS students. The first session, led by Mr. Jackson Jose and Mr. Mijo
Joseph, focused on personal selling, pitching, the AIDA model, and Pareto principle.
Through personal stories and an interactive class, they inspired students to think beyond
short-term wins. The second session, led by Mr. Anfil Rasheed, introduced Game Theory
and concepts like Nash Equilibrium, enhancing students’ strategic decision-making
abilities.

The University Sports Meet, Kurukshetra 2025 witnessed an incredible display of talent and determination, also bringing a lot of cheer to the school. Jeen Joseph and Merlin P Raju (MBA FT 2023-25) lead the Main Campus badminton team to a spectacular championship win! We’re thrilled for Aadithya Vurgese and Sujith Sankar, whose brilliant efforts powered the Main Campus men’s football team to victory! RETAIL MANAGEMENT WITH SABU K. NAIR
Insight-X, the Case Study Club at School of Management Studies, CUSAT, hosted a session on Retail Management with Sabu K. Nair, covering India’s evolving retail landscape, store formats, operational efficiency, and modern retail technologies. A hands-on case study challenged participants to analyse customer churn at a top brand and propose strategic solutions.
CASE STUDY SESSION CONDUCTED
In line with its objective of fostering strategic thinking and leadership, Insight-X hosted a case study session led by Dr. Smarty Mukundan (Associate Professor), focusing on the Robin Hood Case Study. Students explored leadership, strategy, and ethics, tackling business challenges through debate and critical thinking.
SESSION ON ‘CRACKING CASE ANALYSIS’
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are one of the prime skills of any prospective business leader. The Case Study Club of School of Management studies- Insight-X, organized a highly enriching session on case study analysis.
The session conducted by in-house faculty member, Dr. Daly Paulose unraveled the techniques for disassembling case studies, analysis of key aspects or elements and coherent as well as structured solution formulation.
CASE ANALYSIS WORKSHOP HELD
InsightX, the Case Study Club of the School of Management Studies, CUSAT, recently hosted an insightful workshop led by Sahil Sameer, founder of OpenGrad. Using real-world business case studies, the program sought to improve students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Through interactive conversations and exercises, participants acquired useful knowledge on how to conduct a successful case analysis and make strategic decisions.
CASE STUDY CLUB INAUGURATED
SMS CUSAT launched its Case Study Club "InsightX" at the Hall of Fame. Corporate trainer and national media panelist Mr. Renjit Ravi Kesav inaugurated the club and led a case study orientation. Corporate trainer and soft skills expert Mr. Mohammed Ikan delivered a special address. The event featured the club's name and logo launch, offering students a platform to enhance analytical skills.
