Entrepreneur Talk – “Unlock Your Career Potential”

The Entrepreneur Talk organized by Catalyst – The Entrepreneurship Club, SMS CUSAT on 24 September 2025 featured Mr. Rahul Ramesh, Co-founder & CTPO of Entri, who shared insights on unlocking career potential through entrepreneurship. He discussed his journey of building Entri, emphasizing innovation, adaptability, and learning from challenges. The interactive session inspired students to think entrepreneurially and explore startup opportunities. It successfully motivated participants to apply creative thinking in their career growth and contributed to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset within the campus.

Idea to Impact – Interactive Session

he “Idea to Impact” Interactive Session organized by Catalyst – The Entrepreneurship Club, School of Management Studies (SMS), CUSAT on 22 October 2025, featured Mr. Nasif N.M., Head of Programs and Communications at Kerala Startup Mission. The session provided valuable insights on transforming innovative ideas into successful startup ventures. Mr. Nasif shared his experiences from the Kerala startup ecosystem, highlighting incubation opportunities, funding support, and mentorship pathways. The event inspired students to think creatively, refine their ideas, and take practical steps toward entrepreneurship, aligning with the club’s vision of fostering innovation and startup culture within the campus.

MEET THE ENTREPRENEURS

 The Entrepreneurship Club of School of Management Studies, Catalyst, hosted an inspiring session with Senu Sam (Co-Founder & CEO, Mykare Health) and Dr. Neethu Mariam Joy (CTO & Co-Founder, PoppyAI). The session explored the realities of entrepreneurship, resilience, and innovation, with valuable insights on overcoming challenges, learning from failures, and building successful ventures through dedication and vision.

“Catalyst," the Entrepreneurship Club at SMS CUSAT was inaugurated by Mr. Jees V Kariyil, Co-founder of Joboy and Head of Products at Impress.ai.

Mr Jees V Kariyil, a renowned entrepreneur and product strategist, shared invaluable insights into the qualities and attributes required to excel in the entrepreneurial world. His session emphasized the significance of leadership, resilience, adaptability, and innovation in the journey of an entrepreneur. He also elaborated on how entrepreneurs can leverage technology and networks to create impactful solutions and drive growth.

 

On the International Women's Day, School of Management Studies and Women's Studies Center co hosted an empowerment experience by Ms Aswathy Venugopal, titled "Coffee Table with a Woman Entrepreneur". The session addressed by Dr Meerva V, Registrar, CUSAT, aimed at empowering young females with the story of a veteran in the field.
The pandemic paused or put hold to many instances across the globe. The Entrepreneurship Club - Catalyst was no exception. The club, more focused on the practical aspects was not able to impart its functions in better capacity due to the constraints the pandemic bought. Therefore, to announce its way back to the main stream, The Entrepreneurship Club - Catalyst, had a relaunch by our Entrepreneurship alumnus and her husband/co-founder, Ms Aswathy Venugopal and Mr Sandeep S, Avasarashaala. The relaunch was followed by an experience sharing interactive session with active student participation. Ms Aswathy, being from the first core team of the club was delighted to meet the current core team and reflected on her days with the club.
The Entrepreneurship Club - Catalyst, of School of Management Studies hosted an experience sharing interactive session with the Entrepreneur Star couple - Ms Aswathy Venugopal and Mr Sandeep S. They shared their co-founding experience with the soon to be managers. Ms Aswathy is one of the first core members of the Entrepreneurship Club and was delighted to shed some light into the ways of stepping into and the thrills of being an entrepreneur
Talk On IP Rights For Business

'Never too young to start an empire, never too old to chase a dream'

On NATIONAL ENTREPRENEUR'S DAY the Entrepreneurship Dvelopment Club of School of Management Studies, Cusat (CATALYST) conducted a talk on Intellectual Property Rights for Business.

The two hour long session handled by eminent academician and legal consultant Dr. Lawwellman shed light on the various intellectual property laws relevant to business and the IP rights entrepreneurs are entitled to. The session which was replete with examples from business, elicited enthusiastic response from the audience.
