Dr. Rajitha Kumar S. is currently working as Professor in the School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology. He secured his M. Com., M. Phil., and Ph. D. degrees from the University of Kerala. He has teaching experience of more than 24 years at the post-graduate level and has been carrying out research activities for the last 21 years. In addition to academic and research activities, he has served as the Finance Officer of the University for a period of six months.

Presently, he is a member of the Academic Council and the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Chairman of the Board of Studies in Commerce, CUSAT. He also serves as a member of the Board of Studies in Commerce (P. G.) and the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at the University of Calicut.

He is the co-author of the book titled "Financial Analysis for Management Decisions”. He is the co-editor of the books titled "Indian Economy in the Globalised World -Vols. I & II" and "Traditional Industries of India in the Globalised World". He has authored/co-authored more than 50 research papers published in leading international and national journals, conference proceedings, and books edited by well-renowned scholars.

He has also participated and presented papers at seminars and conferences at the national and international levels. He has also served as a resource person for various training programmes organised by public sector undertakings, as well as refresher, orientation, and short term courses organised by UGC-HRD Centers in Universities.
