Dr. Smarty Mukundan is a management academician, trainer and HR Consultant with over 19 years of experience. She was the Director of Providence School of Business, Chengannur prior to joining SMS, CUSAT. Dr Smarty has worked with State Bank Institute of Leadership (SBIL), Kolkota, an apex leadership training Institute of SBI during which she has conducted MDP’S for senior executives of Public Sector Bank’s and the BFSI sector and has trained more than 2500+ top management executives on Emotional Intelligence, Resonant leadership, crucial communications, Negotiations etc.

Prior to joining State Bank Institute of Leadership (SBIL), she has been training and teaching aspiring management consultants and technocrats in HR & OB and professional skills development at DDU Kaushal Kendra, Cochin University, a UGC funded project of Skill India Mission. Her two decades of experience spans from being a product manager at Fibre Foam Pvt Ltd to facilitating management graduates in some top B schools of Kochi, including FISAT B School, Albertian Institute of Management etc. She has associated with MSME Entrepreneurship Development Programs as a soft skills trainer for budding entrepreneurs and engineers during the period (2013-2015).

She is author of several research publications in emotional intelligence and conflict management in national and international journals, including ones indexed in Scopus. She has co-authored a book titled and edited three books published by Excel India Publishers. She has presented papers in National and International conferences and been a resource person at various BFSI corporate; Central University of Hyderabad; Osmania University; Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore; MANAGE, Hyderabad; CELABS, Indian Navy; Amrita University and many. Ms Smarty is a postgraduate in Business Administration and Human Resource Management and has done her doctoral research from the Cochin University of Science and Technology in Emotional Intelligence and conflict management.
