Brief Profile

Dr. Nimitha Aboobaker is an Assistant Professor at the School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology. She has received research fellowships and best paper awards from leading institutions such as the University Grants Commission, Indian Institute of Management, University of Hyderabad, and the Indian Academy of Management. Her team received the Outstanding Paper Winner award (2024) from Emerald Publishing for their paper published in the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies (Q1). With several publications in reputed international journals, including the ‘Academy of Management Annual Proceedings’ (2024, 2023), she also serves as a reviewer for more than a dozen international journals and has been honoured with the Emerald Literati Award for ‘Outstanding Reviewer’ in 2023, 2022, and 2021.

She received the ‘Meritorious Letter of Appreciation’ for the academic year 2023-24 from the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of CUSAT. Her work has been presented at major international conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Conference (2024, 2023), Texas A&M University-Central Texas, IIM Ahmedabad, and the University of South Florida. Dr. Nimitha is also a management consultant and a sought-after resource person for national and international workshops, UGC-MMTTC programmes, and faculty development programmes on mixed-method research, qualitative data analysis and visualization, research methodology, web and text analytics, and academic publishing. She is currently involved in several consulting assignments and projects funded by bodies such as the Indian Council of Social Science Research and the Kerala Women’s Commission. She also serves on the Boards of Studies of several reputed institutions.
