The School of Management Studies (SMS) Library is the largest and oldest departmental library in CUSAT. With more than 50000 books, PhD theses and a wide range of learning resources, the library is well equipped to serve the management students, researchers, faculty members and professionals. It is one of the best B-School libraries in India and the most vibrant and busy space in the SMS. The library continuously renews and restructures its services to keep pace with technological advancements and the evolving needs of its academic community.
The library maintains a collection of print periodicals, including subject-specific journals and popular magazines. It also subscribes to five newspapers, including two Malayalam dailies. High-speed internet connectivity is available within the library, enabling our users to enjoy seamless IP-enabled access to a wide range of electronic resources that support their teaching, learning, and research activities.
Our e-resource collection includes major bibliographic databases such as SCOPUS and Web of Science, as well as full-text databases like Emerald, Science Direct, Springer Collection, Wiley Collection,Taylor & Francis Collection and good number of University publications accessible under the ONOS programme. The SMS Library also provides access to key financial and economic databases, including CMIE–Prowess, , Indiastat, and the ISID Database. In addition, access to more than 200 e- books is available to our users.
The SMS Library has been fully automated using KOHA, an open-source library management software since 2009, and provides access to library OPAC for efficient resource discovery.
The library has also developed and hosts the Digital Repository of the School of Management Studies, a dedicated platform for preserving and providing access to the School’s scholarly and intellectual output.
Library Timings: Monday to Friday 9 am to 6.30 pm Saturdays (including 2nd and 4th) 9 am to 4 pm
